It's nice to feel wanted.

So the interview in Ohio went well. There would be an increase in pay of somewhere between 25 and 52 grand, 6 extra days of vacation, the opportunity to remain in the Midwest, and jeans-Fridays.

And yesterday, I got a call from Chicago wanting to talk to me. Things are going to be interesting around here the next couple of weeks.

My doppleganger.

Flew in to Chicago today, for my company's regional meeting. Somebody was sitting my seat, 13B. Apparently, he wanted to sit next to his buddy. He asked if I wouldn't mind sitting in his seat, a few rows back, 17B.

Fine.

I get back there, and the guy in 17A is wearing the same shirt as me. And this isn't exactly a non-distinctive shirt. It's a blue and purple striped shirt with a white zig-zag design in it. (I'll post a pic when I get back in town.)

So there we sat, for two hours, looking like we were wearing some sort of uniform. Now I know how girls feel at the prom. Everyone was staring at us, I swear.
