Get that corn outta my face!

Saw Nacho Libre today....and while the film wasn't nearly as entertaining as Napoleon Dynamite, there was corn swathed in butter and paprika that featured pretty predominately in the picture. Looked tasty, so that's what we made for dinner.

Four ears of corn later, I've got some sort of corn hangover.

It's sad that even our dietary habits are dictated by films. Ahem, *eggs in a basket*

I have not seen the Nacho movie yet, but I think the food item you are refering to is something called "Elotes," which I became familiar with when I lived in the Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago. They sell these corn-on-a-stick things from pushcarts. The complete list of ingredients is as follows, in the order given. Trust me, it sounds weird, but is very tasty.
Take one ear of corn, steam cooked, but cooled down. Slather it in butter, roll it in parmesan cheese, dust it with chili powder. Then take a squeezeable bottle of mayo and drizzle it on in stripes. Spritz with lime juice and devour. Mmm. Messy, but delish. The mayo really makes it.

That may very well be what they were eating, and it sounds way more disgusting than my corn and paprika thing. But sort of in a good way.

I'll have to try it.
