This post will send me directly to hell.
I've been referring to gasoline as "dead soldiers" for a couple of months now, as in "I've got to go put some dead soldiers in my tank" or "$3.50 a dead soldier? Ridiculous. I remember when they were 99 cents." Now, Alan Greenspan is releasing a book where he says the entire Iraq war was about oil. Well, duh.
I'm less of a fan of Greenspan than I used to be. The man is single-handedly responsible for the entire housing bubble and the subsequent subprime-lending meltdown. But he's definitely spot-on here.
